Research on Non-technical Skills (Request for Participation)

posted in: Misc | 0

Dr. Rita Garcia is co-leading an ITiCSE ’24 Working Group with 15 researchers identifying the academic-industry gap in non-technical skills, like soft skills. Your insight on industry’s expectations on non-technical skills from individuals in entry-level positions would be a great help to us in identifying this gap.

The survey will take no more than 10-15 mins of your time and your input would be great value. Dr. Rita kindly requests your opinions on these skills and abilities to help educational institutions prepare students for the workforce. The researchers are motivated to collect the industry’s perspective on what non-technical skills and knowledge are required for entry-level roles to inform academia in preparing students through learning and teaching practices.
